Absolutely. Many times a valid passport is all that is needed & a FMM (form) is recommended although it is being phased out for a stamp on your passport. We recommend you have a valid passport to avoid any issues on your return trip from Los Algodones. We also remind you that the border entry opens at 6:00 am and closes at 10:00 pm.
You may drive across, parking is available in front of our Dental Office. We are 3-4 minutes from the entry way and we can also pick you up and escort you to our clinic.
The FMM (multiple migratory form) is known as a tourist card that is required for foreign visitors staying less than 180 days. It is used to record entry and exit information and to prove legal status in the country.
This paper version is being phased out for a stamp on your passport. The FMM is free for visits of less than 7 days. If you are staying longer, there is a fee of around $30.00 USD. You can get the FMM at the border crossing or online at the Mexican Government website.
**This is not a new requirement. It has always been this way, it simply was not enforced from time to time.
